Beverly Jean Engdahl, 90, of Niles, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Niles, Michigan, following a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to family. Born on June 27, 1935, in Niles, she was the fifth of nine children born to Louis and Bessie (Canfield) Webber. Beverly lived her life with a loving heart, a kind spirit, and a gentle warmth that touched all who knew her.

Beverly graduated from Dowagiac High School with the class of 1953 and carried the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance throughout her life. She was a homemaker for most of her years, creating a welcoming home filled with care and stability for her family. For a short time, she also worked for Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles, where she brought the same dependable nature and quiet dedication that defined her life.

On February 23, 1957, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Niles, Beverly joined in marriage with her beloved husband, Walter Scott Engdahl. Their marriage was built on enduring love and companionship, and together they shared a lifetime of memories, devotion, and family. Beverly and Walter were blessed with two children, Janet Engdahl-Nelson of Niles and Michael Engdahl of Florida. Her joy was multiplied by three grandchildren, Ryan Morin, Edward Engdahl, and Caylin (Tony) Blando, as well as two great-grandchildren, Addie and Theo, who brought her great happiness.

Family was at the center of Beverly’s life. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Engdahl-Nelson of Niles; her son, Michael Engdahl of Florida; her grandchildren, Ryan Morin, Edward Engdahl, and Caylin (Tony) Blando; her great-grandchildren, Addie and Theo; her sisters, Betty Conley of South Bend and Ruth (Jim) Andrus of Lansing; her sister-in-law, Jo Engdahl of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her with love. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Walter S. Engdahl; her sisters, Mary Melton, Fran Pryne, and Carol Engdahl; and her brothers, Kenny McLaughlin, Bill Webber, and Bobby Webber.

Beverly found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. Beverly enjoyed crafting, cooking, and baking, especially cookies and brownies for her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler in her earlier years and cherished the time she spent with family. She also enjoyed camping and traveling in their motorhome across the country, creating memories that will be treasured by those who shared those journeys with her.

Funeral services will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens Committal Chapel on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Noon. She will be laid to rest following the service next to her husband, Walter.

Those who knew Beverly will remember her as a loving, kind, and spirited woman whose presence brought comfort and joy. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever, carried forward through the family she nurtured, the faith she lived, and the love she gave so freely.
