Obituary For Cody Lee Pierson

Cody Lee Pierson, 35, of Niles, Michigan, passed away on March 31, 2026.

Cody was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. He was a proud husband to Karli Pierson and a loving father to his two children, Kynslea and Lennox, who were the absolute light of his life.

Born in 1991 to Timothy and Tina Pierson, he grew up in Niles, Michigan. From a young age, he carried a joyous heart and a playful spirit, always ready with a mischievous grin or a clever joke. You could often find him running through the yard, riding his little dirt bikes, shooting BB guns, playing with the horses, or turning simple balls of duct tape into hours of fun. As he grew, he attended Brandywine Elementary and Brandywine High School, class of 2010, where sports were always a part of his life, and he discovered his love for baseball. You would always see him sporting his favorite numbers on and off the field.

Cody was an old soul with a heart of gold who felt things with a rare and soulful depth. He was truly a great man, deeply moved by music, and one who found joy in fishing, kayaking, golfing, and thrifting for treasures—whether from stores or along the side of the road—only to give them away to others, even when they didn’t yet know they needed them. He had a remarkable gift for bringing laughter to those around him through his many voices, clever impersonations, playful pranks, goofy faces, impeccable taste in t-shirts, and the imaginative stories he so effortlessly shared. Of all the places he loved, his favorite was on the sidelines, cheering for his daughter, with pride shining brightly in his eyes.

Cody worked for the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and was previously employed by THOR Industries, Forest River, and Utili-Quest. Known for his strong work ethic and easygoing spirit, Cody built lasting relationships wherever he went.

He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Tina Pierson; his siblings, Tonya (Edwin) Allen, Nicole (Doug) McClendon, Timothy (Deana) Pierson, Tricia (Mikel) Santos, and James Marsh, all of whom carry countless memories of laughter and shared adventures with him. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Barb (Don Vincent); brother-in-law, Kyle (Serrina Malott); his grandmother, Vonda Pierson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and chosen family, Jeff and Wesley Teeter.

He was preceded in death by his son, Paxtin Pierson; his grandparents, Reuben and Juanita Mattson, and his grandfather, Roy Pierson.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Milton Township Hall in Niles, Michigan.

Cody’s love will live on in every life he touched, and his memory will always be cherished.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.

Cremation entrusted with Mission Hills Memorial Chapel Crematory and Gardens.
