Delores Genieva Curran, 95, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her four daughters.

She was born on February 9, 1931, and lived a life marked by quiet strength, grace, and deep devotion to those she loved. Delores had a kind and caring nature and a warm smile that brought comfort to those around her. Even at 95, she maintained a smooth, youthful complexion that reflected her natural beauty and gentle spirit.

On June 30, 1951, she married the love of her life, Donald E. Curran, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Niles, Michigan. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and adventure, sharing over seventy years of marriage.

Delores worked at Simplicity Patterns in Niles, Michigan, and later as a bookkeeper for a local carpet cleaning business, where she was known for her reliability and dedication.

She was a woman of strength and independence who loved her family in her own steady and meaningful way. She enjoyed collecting heart-shaped rocks, seashells, and driftwood, as well as line dancing, gardening, and watching old westerns. She was also an outstanding fisherwoman and hunter who wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.

She will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, and the love she carried for her family.

She is survived by her four daughters, Joanne Lubelski of Elkhart, Indiana, Constance Curran of Elkhart, Indiana, Donna (Donald) Lange of Ludington, Michigan, and Kelly Anne Russell (Michael Leavens) of Whitefish, Montana; along with twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Curran; her parents; her son-in-law, Donald F. Lubelski; and her grandson, Ryan Patrick Lubelski.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Parish in Niles, Michigan, on

Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
