Laurel Marie Ingle, 70, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Niles, Michigan.

Laurel was born on September 29, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana to the late James Hickey and Betty Alice (Lindsley) Hickey.

Along with her parents, Laurel was preceded in death by her siblings, Andy Grenert, Vicky (Bruce) Draper, and Bobby Hickey, and sister-in-law, Toni Hickey.

Left to cherish the memory of Laurel is her loving husband of 53 years, Steve Ingle; children, Jami Ingle-Raven and Rebecca Ingle (Michael York); 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Hickey; sisters-in-law, Deb Grenert and Roberta Hickey, and best friend, Melissa Blanchard.

Laurel will be remembered for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures and created countless cherished memories with those she loved.

Laurel enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending hours working on puzzles. The Christmas season was especially dear to her heart, and she loved stringing popcorn with her grandchildren and displaying her collection of miniature Christmas towns. She also treasured baking with her grandkids, creating traditions that will be remembered for years to come.

Family was the center of Laurel's life. She looked forward to family game nights, cookouts, outdoor movies, and fun-filled trips to waterparks. Whether gathered around a table, watching a favorite show like NCIS, or sharing laughter with loved ones, Laurel made every moment special.

She loved dancing, dressing up for a night on the town, and embracing life with enthusiasm and grace. Her kindness, sense of fun, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Laurel's legacy lives on in the memories she created, the traditions she passed down, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.

Visitation for Laurel will be on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a Funeral Service to be held at 1:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, 521 East Main St. Niles, Michigan 49120. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, 61453 M-51, Niles, Michigan 49120.
