The daughter of the late Vernon and Anna (Robbins) Charron, Linda grew up alongside her siblings - Roy, Kenneth, Elizabeth, Gayla, Carolyn, and her late siblings, Gloria, Christine, and Gregory. The bonds of family always held a special place in her heart, shaping her into the devoted family woman she was known to be.
Linda's early years led her down a path of service when she volunteered in the U.S. Women’s Army Corp. She met her beloved husband, Larry Norman Sr. and the two united in married on July 15, 1967, marking the beginning of a partnership that would endure until Larry's passing, each step filled with unwavering support and love.
After her honorable discharge from the military, where she achieved the rank of Specialist in the Women’s Medical Corp, Linda passionately dedicated herself to her family and community. For years, Linda and her husband participated in housing foreign exchange students for the YFU (Youth for Understanding) program while they received their education at Brandywine, a catalyst for her enjoyment of travelling and seeing the world. They were also members of The National Campers and Hikers Association, in a club called ‘The Restless Rovers’, which also contributed to the many sights seen and memories made in travels.
Linda was the cherished mother of Pamela (Donald) Billings and Larry (Brenda) Norman Jr., and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother to a host of grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Linda will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 12:00pm at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, 61453 M-51 Niles, Michigan 49120, where military honors will be rendered.
