Noward Miller, 83, of Niles, Michigan passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Noward was born on January 12, 1943, in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Green J. Miller and Ora Lee Miller.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Lillie B. (Mayo) Miller; brother, Milton B. Miller of Niles, Michigan; sisters, Millajean (Miller) Bradley of Marina Del Rey, California and Joan Miller, and his beloved godchildren, Brittnye Miller of Granger, Indiana, Michael Bush II of South Bend, Indiana, and Jaden Croom of Niles, Michigan.

Noward was preceded in death by his father, Green J Miller; his mother, Ora lee Miller; brothers, Willie J. “Teenie” Miller, Albert “Al” Miller, Wilfred Lee “Bo” Miller, Lonnie “Joe” Miller, and sister, Essie Mae Miller.

Noward was a graduate of Brandywine High School, and went on to earn an associate’s degree.

Those who knew Noward will fondly remember his deep appreciation for jazz music, his love for classic cars and absolute passion for sports. He was never one to shy away from a good spirited debate, a game, or a particular player bringing energy and wit to every conversation.

He lived fully anchored by life's simple pleasures and a profound love for his family and friends.

His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
